As you all know, we have a grand inauguration (Praana Pratishtapane) of Sri Rama at Ayodhya on Jan 22, 2024. As part of the celebration of this auspicious and mega event through out the country, we invite all Sanskrit enthusiasts to participate in a Shloka Competition on Lord Sri Rama being conducted by Atmashrama.

Here is an exciting competition to compose Sanskrit Shlokas on the grand occasion of Prana Pratishtapane of Sri Rama at Ayodhya on Jan 22, 2024.

The participants are required to carefully follow the instructions and compose the verse(s) in Sanksrit. After completing the composition and verification they are required to submit their entries using the google form link provided below before JAN 17, 2024.

Instructions to Participants
- स्पर्धायां प्रथम-मध्यम-उत्तमाः इति भागत्रयं वर्तते । प्रथमविभागे एकः रामविषये श्लोकः रचनीयः मध्यमविभागे सुन्दरवर्णनसहितं रामसम्बद्धं श्लोकत्रयं रचनीयम् उत्तमविभागे स्वरसाः उपमा-श्लेष-उत्प्रेक्षा-प्रासाद्यलङ्कारभूयिष्ठाः पञ्च श्लोका रचनीयाः । रामाङ्गवर्णन-अयोध्यावर्णन-रामगुणादिवर्णनम् इत्यादयः रामसम्बद्धाः विषयत्वेन स्वीकार्याः स्पर्धालुषु तत्तद्योग्यश्लोकगत-कौशलानुगुण्येन प्रत्येकं विभागे पञ्चानां सभायामवकाशः सर्वेभ्यः भागग्रहीतृभ्यः प्रमाणपत्रं वितीर्यते (soft copy) । सभायां चितानां प्रमाणपत्रं (Hard Copy) लभ्यते । एकस्य एकस्मिन्नेव विभागे अवकाशः
- ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯು ಪ್ರಥಮ,ಮಧ್ಯಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಎಂದು ಮೂರು ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ . ಪ್ರಥಮವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪದ್ಯವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮಧ್ಯಮವಿಭಾಗದವರು ಸುಂದರವಾದ ವರ್ಣನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ, ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಮೂರು ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ಉತ್ತಮವಿಭಾಗದವರು ರೂಪಕಗಳು, ಪ್ರಾಸ, ಶ್ಲೇಷ, ಉಪಮಾ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಅಲಂಕಾರ-ಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಐದು ಪದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ರೀರಾಮನ ಗುಣಗಳು, ಅಂಗವರ್ಣನೆ, ಅಯೋಧ್ಯಾವರ್ಣನೆ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಗಳ ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪ್ರತಿವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲೂ ೫ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಭೆಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರದ ಸಾಫ್ಟ್ ಕಾಪಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಈ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಯಾವುದೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ, ಹೆಣ್ಣು/ಗಂಡು ಎಂಬ ಭೇದ, ಮಿತಿಗಳಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಬಹುದು.
- The competition has three levels: Entry, Intermediate, and Expert. The entry level requires composing one verse about Rama, while the intermediate level requires three verses related to Rama with beautiful descriptions. The expert level should compose five verses with rich metaphors, palatial ornaments, and other characteristics. The subject should be on Sri Rama’s qualities, Ayodhya etc. Contestants have the opportunity to win in each division, and all participants receive a soft copy of the certificate. Top 5 from each division will get a chance to present in Sabha. The competition is free for all. There are no restrictions about Age and Gender. Only your interest matters!

- You are submitting the entries voluntarily.
- The decisions from our panel is final and binding.
- There are no restrictions related to age and gender.
- There are no monetary / otherwise rewards/awards/prizes for the selected poems.
- If your submission is selected, you will be required to recite and provide the meaning in a conference call. The details about the conference call will be shared before Jan 21, 2024
- 5 best poems will be selected from each level (Prathama, Madhyama, Uttama)
- The entire competition is being organized as a seva during the Praana Prathishtapane of Sri Rama at Ayodhya.
