Pramana Paddhati is an epistemological work of Dvaita Philosophy. This is an independe

nt treatise based on Pramana Lakshana of Sri Madhwacharya. Pramana Lakshana is based on an ancient work on epistemology called Brahma Tarka which was originally a very detailed exposition composed by Lord Narayana. This work was later abridged by Lord Vedavyasa with the same name. 

Pramana Paddhati is considered to be the gateway of Indian Philosophy. It covers mainly three sources of Knowledge viz. Pratyaksha, Anumana and Agama and the Knowledge that arises from these three sources. They are collectively called as Pramanas.
